National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

The State House

In honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, the State House Dome will be lit in the color gold from Sunday, September 17th through Saturday, September 23, 2023. At a special ceremony, Governor McKee will recognize Tomorrow Fund Kids as Ambassadors and remember those who have lost their battle with cancer.

The event is organized and hosted by The Tomorrow Fund, the only local non-profit organization that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families. This year, more than 40 children will be honored and awarded Ambassador Medals. Currently, there are more than 250 patients undergoing some type of treatment at The Tomorrow Fund Clinic.

Tuesday, September 19, 2023

The event begins at 1 pm

The Tomorrow Fund is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families, who are treated at the Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, from the time of diagnosis, throughout the entire course of treatment and beyond.

Our daily financial and emotional support programs include home expense support, medical co-pays, paid hospital parking passes, college scholarships, summer camps, support groups, survivorship support and a funeral fund to name just a few of the many programs.

8 out of 10 children will survive cancer, but all 10 and their families need the help of The Tomorrow Fund.
