Last November, a young dog was found severely burned and neglected in Santa Cruz County, Arizona. But after being rescued by The Sanctuary Project, Hudson the pup’s life has gotten a whole lot better.
Amy Cubillas, founder of The Sanctuary Project, says Hudson has come so far during such a short amount of time and has healed really well. The group originally planned for Hudson to be adopted, but after evaluating him, they realized this dog loves to work, so they started training the one-year-old pooch to become a therapy dog. Their goal is to have Hudson help burn victims and others in need.
“He is so spectacular that you know he has the capability to touch a tremendous number of lives, and specifically kids,” Cubillas explains. “It is gas in his tank when he can love on someone and know that he's making a difference.”
