Single mom Christina Knaack works a minimum-wage job in South Carolina to support her two-year-old and four-month-old kids. And when she got her $5,400 tax refund this week, she shared her plans for the money in a Facebook post that’s now gone viral. So what are her big plans for all that cash? Pay her rent for the rest of the year!
“I got back $5,600 on my taxes,” the mom writes. “Instead of buying my kids the latest Jordans or fancy electronics, I paid my rent for the YEAR. I’m a single mom and I do it all by myself on a minimum wage job. I know that a roof over my kids head is what’s important.”
Knaack goes on to say that her kids don’t want for anything because she has her priorities straight and that now she’ll have an extra $450 a month to do things with her little ones. Her post about the importance of sacrificing for your kids has gone viral, with nearly 30,000 comments and it’s been shared over 101,000 times.
