Sick of taking solo selfies? In case you missed it, Japanese company Family Romance is here to help...but don't let the creepy name throw you off. The company rents of out fake friends to pose with you in pictures.
For $70, customers will get two hours with their phony companions, whom they get to pick out based on age, gender, and appearance. But beware, renters will also have to cover the cost of travel and food.
Apparently, the Family Romance gets the job done. In the comments section, one happy customer wrote about his experience with the 10 fake friends he hired for his birthday party, who presented him with a surprise cake. According to the customer, the experience was a success and he got the photos he wanted.
