It’s not easy for parents to head out of town for work, leaving their kids behind. But when Mark Dauter was preparing for a recent trip to New York, his 10-year-old daughter Tate went out of her way to keep dad from being lonely while he was away. She left a note for him along with her beloved stuffed Dumbo toy, to keep him company.
The note reads:
“Dear Daddy, You can use Dumbo. I love you, Good morning, Good night, Sweet Dreams, I love you to the moon and back. Also get me a ‘suvaneir’! Love Tatertot!”
This proud dad posted a photo of the note on Reddit and it’s gone viral with it’s over the top cuteness. He says he was “touched with tears” when he saw Dumbo and the note. And he didn’t let little Tate down, he brought her an I “heart” NY stuffed bear and candy from his trip.
