Nicholas Banos and trapping partner Leonardo Sanchez were driving around Florida Everglades when they spotted a python. A massive, 144-pound python.
Not only was it an incredible find, but it also probably put them in good graces with their bosses. Banos and Sanches are some of the commissioned snake hunters hired to kill Burmese pythons, which is an invasive species, over a 60-day period. The so-called Python Challenge is aimed at protecting natural Everglades wildlife, which are disappearing thanks to the serpents.
No word on how many snakes have been killed at this point, but Banos and Sanchez's find is definitely the biggest.
