United Airlines can't catch a break. Just days after the airline came under fire for the way it savagely handled a customer on an overbooked flight, another passenger was in need of medical attention after traveling on United. This time though, it was a scorpion that did the damage. That's right, a scorpion.
Richard Bell was on a United flight from Houston to Calgary when he was stung by a scorpion that had fallen from an overhead bin. Cabin staff contacted a doctor on the ground who gave directions on how to help the man. According to United, the man's injuries are not life threatening.
No word on how exactly a scorpion made its way on board.
