Police in Australia shared a photo of a ticket issued to a driver who recently ran a red light -- and told officers they were "in a rush" to pick up some fried chicken.
Western Australia traffic police tweeted the photo showing the citation, issued April 17, to a driver who was caught blowing through a red light. The ticket shows the explanation offered by the driver: "I'm in a rush to get the kids Nando's."
"Nando's Chicken is good but lives are put at risk every time you drive through a RED [light], there simply is no excuse!!!" police tweeted.
The driver was issued a $227 fine and given six demerit points on their license.
