What could be better than a trip to an ice cream shop for a refreshing treat on a hot day? A visit to an ice cream BAR-lour, and that’s exactly what New York City’s Tipsy Scoop is. They serve up flavors inspired by your favorite liquors and cocktails, but they also have around 5% ABV, about as much alcohol as a light beer, so you actually can catch a buzz from this ice cream!
Melissa Tavss started Tipsy Scoop as a catering company and wholesale retailer in East Harlem back in 2014. But she quickly realized she needed a store to satisfy fans of her boozy ice cream, and as of last week, they’re open and serving.

Mango Margarita
Red Velvet Martini
Tequila Mexican “Hot” Chocolate
Since the ice cream contains alcohol, you have to be 21 to buy it, but Tipsy Scoop offers some virgin flavors as well for the youngsters. And if you’re not lucky enough to live in New York City, some grocery stores across the country carry Tipsy Scoop.
