Woman Calls 911 While Being Attacked By A Boa Constrictor

The downside to owning a boa constrictor? It could one day wrap itself around your neck and bite your nose. That’s exactly what happened to a woman in Sheffield Lake, Ohio. The unnamed woman called 911 after the five-and-a-half-foot snake went in for the kill.

After asking authorities to “please hurry” because the snake was “biting my nose,” the 911 dispatcher on the call says “I've never heard of this before.” When rescuers arrived, they found the woman lying in a bloodied driveway with the snake wrapped around her as she reported. A firefighter cut off the snake’s head with a pocket knife and sent the 45-year-old victim to the hospital.

The status of the woman is unknown, but she had rescued a second boa and owned nine ball pythons at the time of the attack.
