Funeral Home Faces Fine For Reusing Caskets

It's not uncommon to rent a casket so you don't have spend an arm and leg for a viewing at a funeral home. What E.H. Ford Mortuary Services in Memphis, Tennessee took that idea to a lazy, cheap, and gross level. According to a former employee, the funeral home would reuse caskets without reupholstering the inside.

According to Jeremy Harris, he was forced to use the same casket with the same lining for more than 20 services or visitations in less than six months, which violates state law. He filed a complaint and now his former employer has been hit with more than $3-thousand in fines.
