Sandwich leftovers are at the center of Lisa Donovan's court case. The Dover, Delaware woman is suing the Wawa convenience store chain after she slipped in their parking lot. As Donovan puts it, back in 2014 she slipped on "hoagie guts," or discarded sandwich pieces, that were left behind by a fellow customer.
In case you missed it, a judge has ruled that she can go forward with her case. Donovan feels, and a judge agrees, that it was negligent on the store's part to leave the food in the parking lot. The unidentified judge in the case explained that leaving hoagie bits in a parking lot is no different than water on the floor of a grocery store.
