Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album produced seven top 10 hits, including "Thriller," which is widely considered one of the greatest ground breaking videos of all time. The song includes a blazing guitar solo by the late great Eddie Van Halen, who didn't get paid for his work, which he completed in less than 20 minutes of studio time.
An interesting note...Eddie actually only plays that 30 second solo in the middle of the song. Toto guitarist Steve Lukather actually played most of the other guitar parts on the song and added some of the arrangements, including the iconic opening guitar riff which repeats throughout the song.
