A 34-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stealing a Providence Police cruiser.
Police say officers tried to stop Ishmael Lee for recklessly driving a three-wheel motorcycle and a physical altercation followed.
At one point a gun fell out of Lee's bag and he ran from the officer, hopped in the cruiser and took off.
Lee made it about five blocks before he was arrested. He faces charges that include stealing an automobile, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm and assault.
