Warren Touts IRS Math Act

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren announced that her bipartisan IRS Math Act has been signed into law.

It looks to simplify tax filing and add transparency for American tax payers.

Warren said her new bill ensures that a "math mistake" in tax filings won't cost taxpayers "a fortune or hours of work."

The legislation requires the Internal Revenue service to explain where a filer made a mistake on their return and give instructions on how to challenge it, if necessary.

Warren described the bill as a common-sense reform that saves Americans time and money.
