Brown University Health is upgrading the mask requirements at all of its hospitals.
Starting today, patients, visitors and staff must wear Level Two surgical masks over their nose and mouth at all times.
Masks will be provided to visitors when they arrive at any Brown facility including Rhode Island, Hasbro Children's Hospital, Newport and Bradley hospitals.
The hospital group says the stricter masking policy has been put in place because of an increase in cases of the flu, COVID and RSV.
