Plans are in the works to launch a second sportsbook in Rhode Island by the end of this year.
Currently, all sports betting in the Ocean State is limited to just Sportsbook RI.
But the Rhode Island Lottery believes the state could bring in an additional one-million-dollars per year by adding another sportsbook.
Right now, the lottery is looking for a potential operator with the goal of having wagering up and running by late November.
Any company interested in stepping up has until February 19th to apply.
