RI Senator Announces Nearly 28-Million-Dollars To Strengthen Public Safety

Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse has announced nearly 28-million-dollars in federal funding to strengthen public safety and upgrade infrastructure in the state.

The money will support a total of 23 projects across the Ocean State.

The senator says the funding will provide a boost for local law enforcement, improve clean water infrastructure, and create opportunities for Rhode Islanders.

The money is included in the three-bill "Minibus" package that includes the Commerce-Justice-Science, Energy-Water Development, and Interior-Environment funding bills.
