Governor Calls On DHS Secretary Kristi Noem To Resign

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee is calling on Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign.

In a statement, he says when government officials take an oath of office, they swear to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic but Noem is treating the Americans she has sworn to protect, as enemies.

He says free speech is not a threat to the Constitution - it's a basic building block of democracy, but under Noem ICE treats peaceful protesters as combatants.

The governor says ICE is using reckless and sometimes fatal tactics and he wonders how long the list of victims must grow before the government stops terrorizing its citizens.
