State Considers Shorter Work Week For Some

In Providence, the State House Labor Committee will hear a series of bills that range from creating a 32-hour work week to limiting the number of self-service checkout lines in stores.

Rep Karen Alzate says one of her bills lowers the workweek to 32 hours for the same pay and would impact businesses of 500 or more.

It is unclear whether state workers world be part of that.
