Governor Dan McKee has lifted the state's travel bans, but he's encouraging Rhode Islanders to stay home if possible as the storm cleanup continues.
The governor says plow crews have been out in full force to make sure that state roads are safe for travel.
McKee says the state is grateful to the plow drivers, first responders, utility crews, emergency personnel and everyone who has been working to help the state recover from the storm.
To help local communities with the snow removal efforts, the state is requesting mutual aid from other states, including resources like payloaders, heavy-duty plows, backhoes, and other equipment.
