Mayor Brett Smiley will unveil his fiscal 2027 budget this evening.
The mayor will present the spending plan inside City Council chambers beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The mayor has already announced some initiatives in his proposal including a housing stabilization package that includes one-million-dollars in emergency assistance funding for renters facing eviction.
Over the next couple of months, the Council's finance committee will hold several hearings on the budget and propose changes.
There will also be public hearings for residents to give input on the spending plan.
