Department of Health Confirms Measles Case In Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Department of Health has confirmed a case of measles in the state.

The patient is a man in his late 40s from Providence County who had recent international travel and returned to Rhode Island on April 13th.

RIDOH also says customers and staff who were at Panadería El Quetzal on Hartford Avenue in Providence on April 15th between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. may have been exposed.

Anyone who may have been exposed and starts to develop symptoms is advised to call their healthcare provider before visiting an office, clinic, or emergency department.
