A bill to move Rhode Island's presidential primary to Super Tuesday is now in the Senate where similar legislation has been filed.
The House passed the bill last week to move the primary from the fourth Tuesday in April to the first Tuesday in March.
The bill's supporters note candidates usually skip campaigning in Rhode Island because by the time the state's primary is held a candidate has essentially been nominated.
