Providence Mayor Brett Smiley has announced some of the highlights to expect during the city's Independence Day celebration and fireworks display on Sunday, July 5th.
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. at India Point Park with live performances, local food vendors and activities for all ages before wrapping up the night with fireworks over the waterfront starting at 8:30 pm.
The Independence Day celebration is free and open to the public.
Public transportation and rideshare services are recommended along with walking or cycling since there's limited parking near India Point Park.
