Escaped Oklahoma Prisoner Captured In Rhode Island

A prisoner who escaped from a prison in Oklahoma has been captured in Rhode Island.

Logan Palmer escaped from the prison in McAlester, Oklahoma, on July 22nd, and authorities asked Rhode Island State Police for help to locate him over the summer.

State Police say they found and arrested the 41-year-old Palmer near a homeless shelter in Providence Tuesday afternoon.

Palmer had been serving time for lewd acts involving a child and is classified as a sexually violent predator.
