A new report finds road and bridge repairs in the Ocean State have improved, but are still not good.
The Rhode Public Expenditure Council analysis found the state has the biggest gap in the country between spending on major capital projects and routine maintenance.
Council President and CEO Michael DiBiase said routine maintenance must have a higher priority.
While the focus has been on big construction projects,
DiBiase said the state must do a better job of "maintaining these assets once built."
