Providence Columbus Day Parade Draws Crowds Despite Rain

Crowds gathered on Federal Hill Sunday for Providence's Columbus Day Parade despite wet weather.

The event featured more than 80 food, art and retail vendors, along with games and rides.

Organizers say the parade wrapped up before heavier rain from Hurricane Isaias moved in, though later festival events were affected.

Visitors also got a look at the newly restored La Pigna sculpture, now coated in 24-karat gold.
