The Rhode Island Breakers are the United Football League's newest team.
The team's name and logo were announced Sunday during a launch party.
The team's name was chosen to reflect the state's maritime heritage, and the logo features a lighthouse representing the "I" in "RI."
The team colors are blue, white and yellow.
The Pawtucket-based Breakers will begin play in the spring 2027 at Centreville Bank Stadium.
