While Stewart Copeland admits that The Police probably aren’t going back on duty anytime soon, he insists that there’s no bad blood. Ever since their 2007 reunion tour, Copeland says the band is “all a happy family now.”
That’s why he’s finally able to put out the film “Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out,” which is due for re-release this Friday, May 31st. He had trouble getting the “licenses and permissions” the first time around, but now that everything is good between the band he’s got what he needs to put it out “properly.”
“We like each other, and we always have, [Sting and I] had a good laugh about the old times [recently],” he notes. “The issue is that although we’re very proud of the music we made, we know that when we go in that rehearsal room together we’re going to start screaming at each other again, and I’d rather laugh.”
