Here's one for Throw Back Thursday. The station is WXIN, the Rhode Island College station. This is me, circa 1988 or 1989, during my Friday morning jazz show. I was the General Manager of the station in my senior year and hosted my radio show Fridays 8am to 10am. After that i would go to my radio job for a few hours to help put together the weekend programming. Then from 5pm to 9pm, I worked at the Zayre Auto Center in South Attleboro, installing tires and batteries and doing oil changes. I would spend every weekend working my two jobs... all day Saturday and Sunday at Zayre, and the late-late shift in the radio station Saturday and Sunday nights.
Altogether, I worked about 32 hours between Friday morning and Monday morning, because that's how we all did things back then, right? (Plus going to school and working during the rest of the week.) I was 22 and never stopped working. You worked for your car money, gas money, and date money. I'm sure today's Millenials are doing that, right?... Riiiight. #TBT
