Wallet Hub Ranks RI Dead Last for Summer Road Trips. Huh?!?

Summer’s here, which means plenty of people will be getting into their cars and heading out on a summer road trip. So, where are the best places to go if you want to get away in your vehicle? Believe it or not, the dopes at Wallet Hub found ANOTHER way to disrespect Rhode Island, calling it the worst state for a summer road trip. Hello?!? Newport...South County beaches... Clam cakes and chowder...Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals...Waterfire? Ever heard of any of those, you dummies?

I know RI can be expensive in the summer, but to rank us 50th just shows that these guys have no clue what they're doing when it comes to evaluating data. Here's the story, along with the rankings....

Wallet Hub has just come out with their list of the Best & Worst States for Summer Road Trips, judging the 50 states on 33 key metrics for road trips, in areas of costs, safety and activities. With all that in mind, North Carolina tops the list for summer road trips, scoring a 57.57 out of 100 and landing in the Top Ten for both cost and activities.

If keeping costs down is of a particular concern to you, stick to Wyoming, which is tops in that area, although second overall. And when it comes to activities, California is number one, although overall it actually lands pretty low at 33.
