A classic INXS concert is coming to the big screen. “Live Baby Live,” filmed at the band’s sold out 1991 Wembley Stadium concert in London, has been restored and will now screen in Australia and New Zealand on November 14th and in theaters in North and South America on December 9th.
“Live Baby Live,” recorded during the band’s "Summer XS Tour,” was released as an album in 1991, but the footage of the concert shot by David Mallett disappeared, with the band’s manager Chris M. Murphy spending 10 years looking for the original film cans. After finally locating in them Australia, the footage has been restored in 4K Ultra HD with a new Dolby Atmos audio for the movie release.
The concert features a previously unseen lost track, and a new soundtrack to the movie is expected to be announced soon.Check out the trailer below, courtesy of YouTube.
