Billy Joel’s1989 classic “We Didn’t Start The Fire” has gotten a coronavirus update thanks to Twitter.
In case you missed it, last week Brittany Barkholtz, a therapist in St. Paul, was having trouble sleeping when she saw a post by TV writer Matt Warburton that read, “Today was like if ‘We Didn’t Start the Fire’ was a day,” and decided to go with it.
She quickly wrote a new verse for the Billy's chronological song, sharing, “Schools close, Tom Hanks, trouble in the big banks/No vaccine, quarantine, no more toilet paper seen/ Travel ban, Weinstein, panic COVID-19, NBA, gone away, what else do I have to say?”
That prompted many others to join in.
