I have to admit I don't watch a whole lot of specific binge-worthy TV shows, but I do watch a lot of TV. Usually sports or old movies. Lately my DVR has nothing the least bit trendy. Mostly old stuff... or new shows that look at old stuff. Even with 1,000 options, and multiple streaming services, I still watched "Smokey and the Bandit" on Sunday Night. Here's my list. Leave me a comment and let me know what YOU'RE Watching!
1- Anything on AXS-TV (Fios Ch. 569)...Great music programming... Live from Daryl's House, with Daryl Hall (new season just started), Those "Top 10" lists... Best Live Albums of All Time, Best One-Hit Wonders, Epic Songs of 1978, Epic Songs of 1985, Dan Rather's "Big Interviews" with music stars, "A Life On The Road with Brian Johnson"(The AC/DC frontman interviews icons like Sting, Robert Plant, Mark Knopfler).
2- Old Movies...Mostly ones I've seen 20 times...James Bond...I caught a marathon on Sundance Channel over the weekend...Dr. No, Gold Finger, From Russia with Love, and dumb 70's/80's movies... Smokey and the Bandit, Weird Science, Top Gun,
3- Old Sports... ESPN's "The Big Dance" documentary about the Jordan-era Bulls (started Sunday night). Plus a ton of old games that I either was too young to appreciate or just need to relive...1985-86 Celtics games, The Muhammed Ali-- George Foreman "Rumble in the Jungle" fight, "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler-vs-Thomas "Hit Man" Hearns(a golden era for boxing in the early 80's), and of course the 2011 Bruins Stanley Cup run and the Sox championships from 2004, 2007, 2013 and 2018!
