John Mellencamp is ready to get back to work, and he’s giving fans a taste of the music he’s making.
In a post on his website John reveals that he “will soon return to the studio to finish recording his 25th album,” noting, “prior to the onset of the Global Pandemic, he has already cut ten tracks and plans to record another 17 for the project.”
He then shared a one-minute preview of the new song “I Always Lie To Strangers.”
- The post also reveals that John is working on a live album and documentary, “The Good Samaritan Tour,” which will be out this spring. The doc, narrated by Matthew McConaughey, follows his free 2000 tour, where he performed in public parks and street corners. Check out the trailer below.
John also says he’s also hoping to tour in 2022, noting, “but that all depends on the pandemic and our ability to recover from it.” photo: Getty Images. Video: YouTube. Source:John Mellencamp
