The Who has teamed up with Heinz Baked Beans to help celebrate the upcoming super deluxe edition of “The Who Sell Out,” while raising money for charity.
Heinz teamed with The Who for limited edition “Beanz Meanz The Who” baked beans cans. There will be just under 2,000 sold in the UK with 50 cans signed by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. Folks in the U.S. had to compete for just 500 of them, and they are already sold out. Proceeds will go toTeen Cancer Americain the U.S., andMagic Breakfastand theTeenage Cancer Trust, in the UK.
So, why beans? Well, the original artwork for “The Who Sell Out” had Roger sitting in a bathtub of beans. In addition, the album’s second track was titled “Heinz Baked Beans.”
The super deluxe “The Who Sell Out” is set to drop April 23rd.
