Journey have released their first new music in 10 years. The band has shared a brand new single, “The Way We Used To Be.”
The single isn’t only the band’s first in a decade, it’s also fans’ first listen to their new lineup since the exits of longtime bassist Ross Valory and drummer Steve Smith. They were booted last year after allegedly trying to stage a “corporate coup d’etat” to gain control of the band’s Nightmare Productions.
“[This song] came out of one of the many loops I’d written while the long downtime continued with the pandemic we all had to deal with,” says Neal Schon. “So utilizing my time and trying to keep fans in touch I started posting many jams and loops I created very quickly most every day.” Check it out below.
