Gene Simmons is extending an olive branch to David Lee Roth. He’s apologized for dissing the Van Halen frontman in a recent interview.
Gene threw some shade at David while confirming that he won’t be supporting KISS on their farewell tour. He compared David to “bloated naked Elvis on the bathroom floor,” saying he’s not “in his prime anymore.” David responded by posting a wall of middle fingers to his Instagram page.
It looks like Gene got the message, and now he’s backtracking on his diss… while he insists he was taken out of context, he’s still sorry for how his words came across. “I am so sorry and ashamed that I hurt David’s feelings,” Gene tells “Us Weekly.” “What matters is I hurt David’s feelings, and that’s more important than the intent.
