Elton John Announces Star-Studded Collaborations Album

Elton John is releasing a new album of collaborations next month. “The Lockdown Sessions,” dropping October 22nd, was recorded remotely over the last 20 months, as Elton was forced off the road due to the pandemic.

Special guests on the album include Dua Lipa, Charlie Puth, Lil Nas X, Eddie Vedder, Brandi Carlile, Gorrilaz, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Stevie Wonder, Jimmie Allen, and more, including a posthumous duet with Glen Campbell, who died in 2017.

“This album saw Elton coming full circle and returning to his roots as a session musician,”a press release about the album reads. “While it was no easy feat recording during a pandemic, a completely new way of working for Elton, he leaned into the challenge with some magnificent results.”
