TOM? or BILL? Every Pats fan knows what that question means.
For two decades the debate has raged on about whether tom Brady or Bill Belichick deserves more credit for six Super Bowl championships. One local Pats fan has made his opinion known with a new billboard placed on Route 1 in Wrentham, not far from Gillette Stadium. The board reads: "The OWL is no longer wise without his GOAT," and depicts Belichick as an owl in a hoodie, with Brady depicted as a goat, as in "greatest of all time." The message is signed "Jake from Boston." According to media reports, Jake is a frequent sports talk show caller who purchased the board and feels that Brady deserves most of the credit for the Patriots' 2002--2018 dynasty.
Below the message and graphics are the characters "62-74," referring to Belichick's less-than-stellar all-time win/loss record without Brady. The Patriots play Brady's team, the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night at Gillette Stadium.
