It’s no secret Fleetwood Mac used drugs in the height of their career in the 70s, and Christine McVie admits it had some benefits.
“My drug of choice was cocaine and champagne,” she tells “The Guardian.” “I didn’t use any other drugs at all. It’s easy for me to say, but I think it made me perform better.” She adds with a laugh, “Maybe somebody could tell me different.”
The band has infamously gone through several lineup changes, and Christine certainly has her favorite configuration.
“I would be silly not to say the Stevie [Nicks] and Lindsey [Buckingham] era, because that was pretty sensational,” she shares. “We had our fights here and there, but there was nothing like the music or the intensity onstage.”
