The year was 1983, and this song was everywhere. The Police song "Every Breath You Take" rode the top of the pop charts for eight weeks that summer and is the most popular song of the band's storied career.
Fast forward almost forty years, and the song continues to rack up achievements. According to YouTube, the video for the song has officially joined YouTube’s Billion Views Club. Originally released as the lead single off the band’s 'Synchronicity' album, the Sting-penned ballad eventually became The Police’s sole No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Grammys for song of the year and best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal.
