New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft married Dr. Dana Blumberg in New York Friday night,and didn’t have your ordinary old wedding band.
Elton John and Ed Sheeran both performed at the festivities, which were actually planned around Elton’s schedule. According to the “New York Post,” the couple started to plan their wedding after visiting Elton backstage at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. After they said they were thinking about eloping, he responded, “Well, when you get married I want to play as a gift!,” so they planned the big day in three weeks, since it was the only date Elton had available.
Elton performed an hour-long set for the festivities, which included such songs “Circle of Life,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Philadelphia Freedom,” “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and more, with Elton and Ed teaming for “Candle in the Wind,” and Ed performing for the couple’s first dance.
The night’s other entertainment included Meek Mill, and DJ Grandmaster Flash.
