Damar Hamlin's charity, the "Chasing M's Foundation" has grown tremendously since the NFL player was injured and hospitalized on Monday (1/02/23).
The injury to the Buffalo Bills safety on national TV has rocked the sports world. Fans and players watched in agony as the 24 year-old collapsed and had to be resuscitated with CPR and a defibrillator.
On Thursday (1/05), the Bills released a statement saying that Damar was still in critical condition but was making steady progress and appeared to be neurologically OK. Meanwhile, the Chasing M's Foundation has grown from about $3,000 to over $7million since he was injured. The foundation supports children's charities including toy drives, school supply drives and summer camps.
Donations have ranged from a few dollars from individual fans, to five-figure contributions from celebrities, including Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who donated $18,003, a number symbolic of Hamlin's uniform number 3.
I know we are all hoping and/or praying for Damar's full recovery. If you'd like to contribute to his foundation, click here to donate to his GoFundMe page. *
