I was fascinated by this guy I saw on The Today Show this morning. After hitting 238 pounds, Kevin Maginnis decided to start his weight-loss program by eating all his meals from McDonald's for 100 days straight. Huh?! The catch... He only eats HALF of every meal and drinks water instead of soda. And we're not talking about those Micky D's salads. He eats the good stuff...Big Macs, fries, etc.
Curious how he is doing? Ten days into the plan...He has lost 12.5 pounds! While this does lend some credibility to the approach of JUST cutting calories by reducing portion sizes, it doesn't take into account the affects on your sodium and cholesterol counts and other factors, so take this with the proverbial grain of salt.
Nonetheless, it certainly makes me think ANYONE can lose weight just by cutting down on portion size. Check out Kevin's first video, along with follow ups.
