Dolly Parton and Mötley Crüe, who would have guessed? Well, technically, the collab we’re talking about is with Crüe’s bassist/songwriter/co-founder Nikki Sixx but you get the idea.
The rocker worked with Parton on her upcoming rock album “Rockstar,” and the (typically) country icon personally reached out to praise Sixx on their track “Bygones,” which also features singer Rob Halford of Judas Priest and Crüe’s John 5. "Hi Nikki," Parton wrote. "Well... I guess you've heard, we've got us a hit record! We're 41 from what I hear on 'Bygones'! You did a fantastic job on that. Thank you for joining us, you made it a lot of what it is. I appreciate you. Rock on! Love, Dolly".
“Bygones” debuted at #1 on the US Mediabase Classic Rock Songs chart. In a Facebook post, Sixx shared the message with the caption: “Gonna have to frame this one (heart emoji).”
