Fleetwood Mac noted in 2019 that the band was just fine touring with guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, but one key member is drawing a line without Christine McVie. Stevie Nicks says she doesn’t believe in continuing on without the late McVie, who she called “my best friend.”
“Without her, what is it,” mused Nicks in a recent interview. “She was like my musical soul mate, and my best friend.” Keyboardist and singer McVie died last year and the “Dreams” singer said there isn’t much point on continuing without her. “When she died, I figured we really can’t go any further with this,” Nicks admitted. “There’s no reason to.”
And while the news is probably sad for Fleetwood Mac fans, it doesn’t mean Nicks is going quietly. As she continues her solo tour with occasional guest Billy Joel, Nicks has also unveiled a new doll in her likeness. Read more about it in this article by Kristin and Steve.
