Not all heroes wear capes. Some just abstain from collecting rent during this trying time.

Nathan Nichols of Portland Maine, saw the challenges his community was about to face with the wide spread effects of the Coronavirus and decided to do something to help alleviate the pain.

In a Facebook post earlier this week he announced that he would be forgoing collecting rent from his tenants for the month of April, saying "Because I have the good fortune and of being able to afford it and the privilege of being in the owner class, I just let them know I would not be collecting rent in April."

While Nathan does acknowledge that not all landlords can afford to give their tenants a pardon on a full months rent he does call upon others to, "consider giving your tenants some rent relief as well" .

His full post is below. It is short, sweet and to the point!

Way to go Nathan! <3
