Spongebob Squarepants. You may have have heard of him. He and his friends in Bikini Bottom have been entertaining the masses for over 21 years now.
Well in celebration of Pride Month Nickelodeon may have just confirmed what we has suspicions on all along. SpongeBob is Gay!
In tweet posted Saturday, Nickelodeon shared a picture of Spongebob with Korra from The Legend of Korra, actor Michael D. Cohen from Henry Danger. Korra who is a bisexual and Michael who transitioned over 20 years ago.
So far the tweet has over 319 thousand likes and has been retweeted over 100 thousand times in support of the announcement.
While Nickelodeon did turn off the comment feature on the tweet I think it's safe to say the news has been received warmly!
